We are really enjoying Brave Bitsy and the Bear  at the moment.  We have made a Bitsy who you can see here riding our MoosePillow, and soon we will tell the story for you with our homemade props.  Blogger Read it again, mom! gives lots of ideas for a whole bear-themed storytime.

Here is an interesting talk about parenting by one of the authors of NurtureShock which I read recently. I have translated the subtitles for 29% of the video into Galician as part of the IT course on my teaching masters.

Willy duck and wally duck our first little podcast is posted!  We hope you enjoy listening and quacking along... beware that it might lead to little people wanting to play in the rain.  Where we live it's very sunny and new umbrellas are waiting forlornly to get used.

Willie Duck and Wallie Duck went out in the rain to play, splashing in the puddles in a very careless way.
Neither had a raincoat and neither had a hat, but their mother didn't worry or fret about that.
Willie Duck and Wallie Duck, for almost an hour, without any rubbers on played in a shower.
Of course their mother saw them, but she didn't scold.  She didn't even tell them that they'd both catch cold.
Willie Duck and Wallie Duck were wet clear through. And what about their mother? She was out there too!
